April 19th, 2012 - CSUSB VSA First General Meeting & All-You-Can-Eat Spring Roll Night

We would like to thank everyone for coming out last night! Without you crazy energetic people, we wouldn’t have had such an awesome meeting! We hope you guys enjoyed the Dragon Tail game and spring rolls! Our Board spent a lot of time preparing and rolling all 400+ yummy spring rolls with love. We hope you guys enjoyed them as much as we did! Thank you guys so much for your continuous support!!

Spring into Spring Quarter with ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT SPRING ROLLS

Welcome back to school, everyone! Has the daily grind of Spring Quarter already wear you down? Well take a break and come to CSUSB VSA’s First General Meeting of Spring Quarter on Thursday, April, 19th, 2012 at 6pm. (The location will be TBA as the date gets closer.)

Due to popular demand, we are bringing back ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT SPRING ROLLS for $5! Oh yeah, that’s right! You read that right … ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT. To accommodate everyone’s preferences, we will have both meat and vegetarian options! We have a limited amount of spring rolls, so it is first come first serve. Be sure to get here on time!

In addition to spring rolls, we will have fun ice breaker games as well as announcements of exciting upcoming activities and events. We hope to see you all there!

Everyday about 80 newborns die in Vietnam due to lack of oxygen and proper medical attention needed. Funds are needed for Project Vietnam to provide medical training to personnel for newborn resuscitation and CPR kits.

Project VN needs our help to raise an additional $27,000 for their mission that is taking place in March 2012. It’s up to us to help give these newborns an opportunity to a “new breath of life.”

This is our first BIG charity event and we have a great line-up of talented individuals and groups that will be competing head-to-head for prizes and pride! We will open the doors at 5:30pm at the Santos Manuel Student Union Theater, the show will start at 6pm and will end around 9:30pm.

Ticketing prices is as followed:
Presale* - $5
At the door - $7

*Presale tickets are reserved on call list on Google Documents, so please provide your first and last name and how many tickets you will need. The presale call list will be open until March 6th. To reserve your tickets now, go here.

DISCLAIMER: Seats are limited. By putting your name on the call list, it means your ticket is $5, but it does not guarantee that you have a seat, so come early!

Parking at CSUSB is $5 for the entire day. The parking pass is good for any parking lot, however, we suggest that you park in Lot D as it is closest to the Student Union. Here is a map of the campus for those of you who are not familiar with CSUSB.

Come out and help us support Project Vietnam’s ‘Breaths For Newborns’ Campaign! All proceeds will be donated towards Project VN’s campaign. We are also accepting donations! For more information about the organization, visit their website here. We have a wonderful line up for the talent show.

On February 25th, CSUSB VSA Board members went out to Garden...

On February 25th, CSUSB VSA Board members went out to Garden Grove to support Cal Poly Pomona VSA’s 4th Annual Pie Auction! We had so much fun bidding for staff members and watching them get pied. Our very own Kim and Leon were auctioned off, Leeanne and Nancy won both of them and was given the opportunity to pie them with whip cream, eggs, and other lovely ingredients.

As a bonus, UVSA President Billy Le was also auctioned off … for the pie bucket which was filled with all the leftover ingredients. Way to take one for the team, Billy! We all helped CPP raised a good amount of funds for their Vietnamese Culture Night … can’t wait to attend!

Hey everyone! My name is Dennis and on behalf of our 2011-2012 Board, I would like to welcome you to Cal State San Bernardino’s Vietnamese Student Association’s Tumblr! It is our first year back on campus after a brief hiatus and we’re taking advantage of the ever growing usage of social networks to get our name back out there.

Our goals for the club as well as ourselves include:

spreading awareness of the Vietnamese culture and history
volunteering and helping out in the community
making new friends and having a good time
